Liberty Landing

The family-friendly community of Liberty Landing, along with the neighborhood of Independence, surrounds Lake Trafford Elementary School. Aside from making it a safer area for kids to be, with drivers more aware of the presence of children, the youngest members of Habitat families are able to walk to school easily and safely from Liberty Landing, without stepping foot onto the busy Lake Trafford Road. Through a partnership with Barron Collier Corporation and as a part of the construction of Ave Maria, this property was made available to Habitat for Humanity at no cost.

With such an elevated need for affordable housing in Immokalee, Habitat Collier implemented a twin villa floorplan in Liberty Landing in order to use the land as efficiently as possible. This finished neighborhood is home to 150 families who have escaped inadequate or unsatisfactory housing to finally own safe and decent homes of their own.
