Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Awards $400,000 Grant to Habitat Collier
Matching Grant to Support New Construction in Immokalee’s Kaicasa Community
Naples, FL – The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has awarded a $400,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Collier County to support the construction of affordable homes in Kaicasa, Habitat’s townhome community in Immokalee. Designed as a matching challenge, the grant invites additional contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations, aiming to raise an additional $400,000 to amplify its impact for families in need.
“We are deeply grateful to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for this extraordinary support,” says Habitat Collier CEO, Rev. Lisa Lefkow. “Their generosity is a testament to the value of strong community partnerships and will be transformative for families who are waiting for a place to call home. This matching grant doesn’t just provide funding; it inspires generosity in others to join the cause, multiplying the impact for our community.”
Kaicasa is an affordable Habitat neighborhood located in Immokalee, where affordable housing options are critically needed to support the area’s working families. The subdivision will be completed over three phases of construction, accounting for 281 much-needed affordable homes when finished. As housing costs in Collier County continue to rise, more families are facing significant barriers to achieving stable, affordable housing. By partnering with Habitat for Humanity, the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation is helping to meet this need and investing in long-term benefits for the broader community.
