Wells Fargo teams up with Habitat Collier to build homes in Naples

Naples, FL (October 17, 2024)– As part of a nationwide effort to strengthen communities and support more than 290 families, the Wells Fargo Foundation awarded a $15,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Collier County to help fund the construction of a home in the nonprofit’s new affordable subdivision in Naples, Majestic Place.

On October 17th, Wells Fargo employees joined Habitat Collier staff, volunteers, and future homeowners for a build day in support of the Foundation’s recent grant award.

“The need for safe, decent, affordable housing opportunities in our community is greater than ever,” says Habitat Collier CEO, Rev. Lisa Lefkow. “Support from partners like Wells Fargo—through both their generous grant and their gift of time and talent on the job site—not only makes a direct impact on families, but it also reminds us of the importance of partnership and community in working towards our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We’re incredibly grateful for organizations like Wells Fargo and their employees, who know the importance of giving back to the communities they serve.”

Nearly 20% of households in Collier County spend over half of their income on housing and the number of families who are struggling to afford rent is on the rise. This funding is part of a $6.3 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International through the 2024 Wells Fargo Builds program to increase access to safe and affordable housing across the U.S
